Bradford City 3 – 2 Doncaster Rovers

I work on a Cruise ship when not at Uni, and was very excited when I heard I would be going to Norway over the half term holidays.  I have been here many times before, but this was my first time with a decent camera, and also doing it myself Manually instead of using the Automatic settings.  It was absolutely stunning, and half of the photographs below were taken at 5.30am when we sailed in to Geiranger!! Must be mad, but definitely worth getting up for!!  Highlight of the cruise was seeing the famous Seven Sisters Waterfall.  Thoughts and feedback welcome.  Enjoy!

Snow/mist on Idle Moors

I went out shooting in the snow a couple of days ago on Idle Moors.  I took a few pictures to try and show just how bad and close the mist was.  A few of my pictures can be seen below.  Enjoy!!

Here are a few pictures taken in the snow using a Custom White Balance as opposed to using Auto.  I feel a Custom WB helps significantly when shooting the snow as it helps keep the snow looking white, and doesn’t give it that blue-ish or yellow-ish tint!    The sun was shining really brightly and reflecting off the snow when I was out taking pictures, and this made it more difficult.  As always, your thoughts and feedback are welcome and appreciated.  Enjoy!!

On Tuesday 7th December 2010 I went to Hardcastle Crags in Hebden Bridge.  It had been snowing ALOT previous to my visit, but this just made the scenery even more stunning to look at!!  I had a great day, and the highlight was definitely seeing all the long and dramatic icicles that had formed from snow melting and running down the hillside, and freezing as it got near the bottom.  It was amazing to see and left me speechless, for once!!.  Unfortunately I feel I didn’t get a picture of it that did it justice.  Words cannot describe how unbelievable this sight was to see.  Some of my images are displayed below.  Enjoy!!
