Trip to India – Wednesday 7th November 2012

The daylight photos are from the car journey to Whistling Woods International Film School in the morning, and the night photos are from the journey home, where an ISO of 6400 was used.  It was good to see how my camera performed in such conditions, and I’m fairly pleased with the results.

My favourite photo taken today, although it was heartbreaking taking it.  We had stopped at traffic lights and this was taken through the window as she approached the car.

Another favourite of mine taken today; this guy was stood in the middle of a busy road, trying to dodge the fast moving traffic.

Every shop and street was decorated for Diwali!

Street seller – they sold everything from flowers to feather dusters!

Shops stayed open late; most of them until midnight!

Some people were happy to pose when they saw the camera…

People use horns instead of indicators!

Auto Rickshaw fare meter – the price always went up when tourists got in!

I was amazed at how many people they could fit on a bike, and the oversized things they carried!!

We got excited every time we saw a monkey, however, it is quite normal for the locals to see monkey’s hanging out in the trees!
