Trip to India – South Bombay

Today I visited the markets in South Bombay, including Chor Bazaar; one of the largest flea markets in India.  It was probably my favourite day of photographing so far as there were so many different things going on around me, and I didn’t have to photograph it from the inside of a fast moving car!

Most of my photos seem to focus on the locals going about their daily business.  I didn’t realise my love of photographing people in such a way until I visited India, as my normal work is studio or sport related.  There was also time for a quick visit to Dhobi Ghat; India’s biggest human laundry, washing thousands of clothes daily!

Trip to India – Thursday 8th November 2012

More driving photos from my trip to India.

I stayed with 2 amazing host families during my 3 week stay in India, and they took us out and showed us all the sights.

Today I visited Marine Drive, which is also known as “The Queens necklace”.  It was so pretty all lit up at night, and was gutted I didn’t have a tripod with me.  I had to make-do with a wonky sloping wall to rest the camera on whilst I did some long exposures, and they didn’t turn out too bad.  Again the majority of the night time photos are taken using ISO 6400.

Photos from day 3…
