I have just returned home from a visit to Whistling Woods International Film School in Mumbai.
The photos below were taken during the car journey to Whistling Woods/Film City for the first day of lessons.
I didn’t end up taking that many photos, or should I say not that many turned out well enough as I was photographing from an erratically but expertly driven car at high speed, with the subject also moving, and to make things slightly more challenging the windows were tinted too; all the while trying to hold steady a large and heavy lens!!
I instantly became hooked though at all the sights and goings on around me, and driving around Mumbai became my favourite part of the 3 week trip! I can’t remember a car journey where I didn’t have my camera out, and I got much better at taking photos in such conditions!
Photos from day 1 are below…

“People” and “Documentary” quickly became my preferred style of photography whilst in Mumbai
