I tried my hand at photographing a Dog Show yesterday, in practice for some of the bigger Dog Agility shows coming up.  It was a little harder than envisaged due to some mischievous dogs, but definitely great fun!  The event was supported by local dog rescue charities, and other great canine stalls.

High quality gloss photos are available to buy, sized 12×8 for just £14 inc. P&P (in the UK).  Discounts offered for multiple prints purchased, please contact me for further details.

**£1.50 from EVERY print sold will be donated to Hope Rescue, who help with re-homing stray dogs; learn about the great work they do here: http://www.hoperescue.org.uk

Thank you for your support. x

Last year I worked with Blaze Bear and Idle Fire Station for one of my Uni projects.  Here a few of my favourite photos.

I went over to Nethermoor Park to watch Guiseley V Vauxhall Motors on ‘Non-Leauge Day’.  It was another great game with lots of action; 5 goals, 2 sendings off; including Guiseleys Keeper, and a massive hand-ball appeal (for Guiseley) that the Referee didn’t give!  Not many decisions seemed to go our way today, but that didn’t dampen the spirits at the ground, or stop Guiseley from winning 4-1.  Great game lads!!

A few pictures from the match can be seen below.

Enjoy!!  x

I am hoping to carve out a career in Sports photography, and have got a few different Clubs/things lined up that I will be attending and taking photographs at.  One of which is Guiseley Football Club.  The staff/management/team/crowd there have been amazing, and I hope to attend every home game to take photographs.

This was the first game that I had attended, and it was a good match; great crowd, great atmosphere, and 3 great goals from Guiseley!

I am in the process of getting a bigger and better lens, but for now I have to make do with my Nikon 18 – 200 mm 3.5 – 5.6 lens.  Close up action is fine, but anything past the half way line and I start to struggle!!  Watch this space for my new bad-boy lens!!

Here are a few pictures from the above match.

Thoughts/comments/feedback always welcomed and appreciated.

Enjoy!!  x

FEVA – Festival of Entertainment and Visual Arts.

Another event that I attended at FEVA was The Bargeest.

This was a great evening where “Penny Plain’s Victorian acting troupe presented the legend of The Bargeest; the horrific hound that lurks in Trollers Ghyll in Wharfedale”.

It was a great show, very entertaining and definitely worth a watch!  Really pleased that I got to see it.

Below are a few of my favourite photographs taken that evening.

Enjoy!!  x

FEVA – Festival of Entertainment and Visual Arts

I contacted  FEVA last August to volunteer and help out with the photography side of the magnificent 10 day festival that is held each year.  I hoped it would give me a chance to work on my photography skills before starting Uni.  I had such a great time that I volunteered to go back and help again this year.  Last year I was still shooting on the cameras automatic setting, so I am really pleased that this year I was able to do it all manually and choose the settings myself.

Below are a few of my favourite photographs from the Scarecrow competition, held at Knaresborough Allotments.  I also couldn’t resist taking pictures of some of the amazingly coloured flowers that were growing there (colours of flowers haven’t been edited, they were honestly that bright and amazing!).

As always, thoughts comments and feedback is welcomed and appreciated.  Enjoy!!  x

Chester Zoo

I went to Chester Zoo recently with a couple of friends, and  was pleasantly surprised at how big and impressive it was!!  It was definitely worth the money, and I will be going back again soon as we were pushed for time in the end.  Here are a few of my favourite pictures I took.  Thoughts, comments and feedback are welcome and appreciated.  Enjoy!!  x

I went photographing to Bridlington and Flamborough Head on the 15th June 2011.  Whilst in Bridlington I decided to go on a boat trip in search of Puffins, other birds and some good Land and Seascapes.  There were a few different birds about, but were moving way too fast for me to get a good photograph of them!  We also sailed past the Geological Fault in the cliffs at Flamborough Head.  This can be seen below.  I drove round to Flamborough Head late evening for the Sunset, not realising it was the Lunar Eclipse.  I managed to get a few photographs of a gorgeous Rainbow (which I have played around with in Photoshop as you can see below), but wasn’t in time to get the rainbow going into the sea 😦

As always, thoughts comments and feedback are welcomed and appreciated.  Enjoy!!  x
